Our world is an incredibly beautiful place, full of wonderful things to do and experience. But just like one must learn how to enjoy good wine, a person must learn how to enjoy Olam Hazeh. Without doing this, the goodness of the world can pass him by, unnoticed and unseen.

The yetzer hara does not want us to realize how much goodness Hashem gives us. He doesn’t want us to have feelings of loyalty and gratitude to Hashem that would result from this awareness, so he tries very hard to convince us that life is bad. If we don’t make an effort to overcome the yetzer hara, we will naturally wind up with a negative view of our world.

This book was written to combat this yetzer hara, to help people learn (or re-learn) how to enjoy life to the fullest, with an upbeat, positive spirit.
