The tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov is situated in the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine. In accordance with Rabbi Nachman’s request, he was buried in the old cemetery of Uman, where thirty thousand martyrs who were massacred during the pogroms of 1768 were buried. Throughout the year, especially on Rosh Hashanah, tens of thousands of Jews from around the world visit this sacred site. Men and women, young and old, are drawn to this holy site to pray and to fulfill the wish of the Tzadik, who commanded his disciples to visit his gravesite.
