compromise, and the Jew-hating Prince Lubomirski casts out a net to trap Reb
Berman and remove him from the picture in order to capture the throne.

Interweaving drama with confirmed biographical facts. The King's Confidant is
a new adaptation of Rabbi Meir (Marcus) Lehmann's novel The Royal Resident,
which tells the story of his ancestor Reb Yissachar Berman Lehmann, the legendary
Court Jew who built the Great Synagogue of Halberstadt.
