Pathways to Perfection [Hardcover]

For well over four hundred years, Tomer Devorah, a sefer written by one of Klal Yisrael's greatest teachers of Kabbalah, Rabbeinu Moshe Cordevero, has inspired and taught countless seekers of spirituality how to fulfill the commandment of v'halachta bidrochov, to walk in Hashem's ways. In a world whose focus today is, regrettably, utterly removed from Hashem and His Torah, the inspiration and guidance provided by Tomer Devorah is all the more necessary. Unfortunately, because of the difficulty of the style and the language of this most important sefer, Tomer Devorah has essentially become a closed book for many of today's readers. Dr. Ross, in his translation and elucidation of Tomer Devorah, which he has titled, Tachas HaTomer - a mst accessible work filled with wisdom and yiras Shomayim - has done a great service for Klal Yisrael. It is most fitting that Dr. Ross has dedicated this most valuable work to hs Rebbi, HaRav HaGaon R. Nachum Eisenstein, Olav HaSholom, a tremendous Talmid Chochom and Baal Mussar, whose life was dedicated to guiding and inspiring others. My sincere hope is taht this sefer, together with Dr. Ross' other works, including his translation and elucidation of teh Igeres HaRamban, will impact upon the lives of our generation, making us all worthy of our promised future, with the coming of Moshiach, bimheiro biyomainu, omein.
